serious blogging

1.27.2011

Yes, you heard correctly. Today I was on a picture taking high. Let me explain. For the past few weeks I've been unmotivated in my photography life. I didn't even feel the urge to take my camera out of the bag. I'm positive this was because of the dull winter weather. A miracle occurred this morning, a huge glorious ball of light rose above the horizon. I was thrilled. There's nothing that makes photography more enjoyable for me than having an endless supply of light at my disposal. I was undeniably satisfied with the series of captures I ended up with. And so its time for some serious blogging. I'm probably exceeding the limit for the amount of photos on one post. Please bare with me as I gush.

It was like seeing nature for the first time. I can only imagine how I appeared; leaning so close to the ground to capture those macroscopic plants, practically skipping across the leafy wet ground with pure joy. Seeing the slightest tint of green threw me into a loop of excitement. Please tell me I'm not the only one who's awaiting springtime.

E and S walked with me, constantly asking me to take their picture. This isn't something they usually do. Most of the times I have to bribe them with candy ask very nicely just to get a presentable photo. That long camera-deprived time period seemed to work magic on them. Their chocolate eyes could seriously melt hearts. {I'm entering this first one in Carlotta's weekly challenge.}

Hodge was just as excited to see me using my camera once again. His tail straightened like a board, let his tongue fly out the side of his mouth and sprinted around me. In most of these, he looks like a blur. I was lucky if he even ended up in the frame at all. But for some reason, I'm in love with each and every one. He is undoubtedly the definition of ecstasy.

Ha. Couldn't resist throwing these two in. These are just a few of Hodge's treasures you'll find in our front yard.
