the fisheye debut

9.03.2011

Here's a story.
Girl walks into walgreens to pick up film. The nice lady behind the counter looks at girl strangely and tells her that her pictures are very interesting. Girl gets worried and asks if something is wrong with the pictures. Nice lady tells her that she's never seen pictures like these before in her life. Girl gets even more worried. Lady tells girl of how she had to go get the walgreens manager and show him the pictures too. Manager says he is extremely impressed. After the ten minute chat, girl looks at the pictures and is quite impressed herself.
Girl drives home and, naturally, she blogs about it.

I think I really love this fisheye camera.

Thank you for all of your sweet comments on my last film post! For those of you who asked, I don't really remember what exact brand of disposables I bought, but they were the cheapest ones I could find, purchased at walgreens pharmacy. I'm really excited that so many of you were inspired to use disposables too!

  1. I'm so jealous of these. I have a Canon Rebel SLR, and I want to use it so badly. Unfortunately, I know nothing about film :/

But really, these are beautiful. :)

  7. 5th one def the best! So beautiful. I had a fisheye lens but hated using it. I thought so much was lost in the dark corners... but after looking at these... it may be part of the mysterious beauty. Sad I gave it away now.

  11. These pictures are so cool! I don't have a fisheye, but I think it would be cool to have! At the moment, I'm saving up for my $2500 camera, so I'm not really spending extra money :) Haha!
