of snow and snowflakes...

12.13.2010

 the snow effect.
Recently, I saw some amazing photos that inspired me. I love glitter. Like, love it. I thought this idea was so creative. Only problem is: my art cabinet is fresh out of glitter. So I thought to myself, why not use snow as a substitute? It's powdery and soft. And it's sparkles. The result? Not exactly what I was hoping for. But I'm not giving up... you'll probably see some more photos with the snow effect on my blog in the future.

 snowflakes.
These little guys were pressed against my bedroom window this morning. I literally shrieked because they were in the perfect spot for a picture. It's been a long-awaited wish of mine to photograph snowflakes. But oh, how I wish I had a nice zoom lens. I know these aren't of the best quality, but they still amaze me. As I watched the millions of flakes fall from the sky yesterday, I could barely comprehend that no two snowflakes are alike. Do we have an awesome Creator or what?
