i have a short love story for you to read

for the first time ever, girl goes to boy's baseball game. girl sits there watching boy. thinking in her head what a fiiiine boy he is. after the game, boy rumages in backpack and finds something. boy holds this something so girl cannot see it. boy then takes girl's sister off to the side and hands her the something. boy talks all quietly. so girl is confused at this point. girl asks him what this business is about. he tells her nothing.

on the ride home, girl falls alseep from the warm breeze and sun beating down through the open window. girl gets home, still confused. boy texts her many sweet things, but still is not telling her what's going on. he tells her she has to wait. and that its a kind of surprise. and not to ask questions.

evening passes by. girl has already asked every question in book to girl's sister, but its not working out. girl's sister will not budge or drop a hint. girl's mind starts spinning as she comes up with many ideas of what the surprise could be. still her sister won't tell a thing. girl is choking at the merciless hand of suspense at this point.

finally boy texts girl. asks her one question.

"so what is your favorite romantic movie that you own, just wondering?"

the notebook.

"...well i think you should probably watch the notebook right now..."

confused as ever, girl sprints like lightning across room and collides with floor. girl ends up in front of movie cases. girl pulls the notebook from the shelf. girl opens it. sees a folded note inside. opens note.
